I started college as a psychology major and eventually decided to use that interest in human behavior for business and obtained a marketing degree from Texas A&M. (Gig ’em Aggies!) I then moved to Houston and worked for a major chemical company and a large advertising agency while earning my MBA.
After grad school, I managed the marketing functions for a medical device manufacturer, an environmental consulting firm, and an industrial/construction supply group. Later I began providing contract marketing services for several small and medium-sized businesses. I enjoyed getting to know the owners, creating relationships with them, and helping the companies develop solutions for their marketing challenges. I enjoyed the work so much that I made it official and created Christine Speed – Marketing & Communications.
